I have several ancestors who lived in the Trinity Road area in West Bromwich.
My question is about a small terraced row of houses. It seems to have changed name over the years. In 1881 it was Trinity Road Row, 1891 Ten House Row, and in 1901 Garden Terrace. I have several members of my family (Jeavons) living at the same house number on these three census records. I assume, maybe incorrectly that it is the same place, as no two names appear on the same census. On every census there are only ten houses.
If my memory serves me rightly, at various times there were Jeavons's living in up to 8 of the 10 houses - my father calls it "The Jeavons Ghetto"!
I have an old copy of the Ordanance Survey Map of the area, and I can find a small unnamed side road with 10 houses in it, which may be the correct place. My mother can't recall whether it was a side road to Trinity Road or not, but she says that Garden Terrace was not a very good description!!!
Can anybody help with this?
Sue
