Hi all,
Pretty sure the attached marriage certificate is my great great great grandparents. Was a surprise as I had thought his father was an Edward!
I would appreciate help in 'translating' some of the information on here though.
1. What does it say in the 'Age' column? Possibly Twenty?
2. What are the residence details?
3. What are the fathers' occupations?
It took me long enough to translate John's occupation as Cordwainer but that then fitted with the info I have. Now I want to track William Johnson down but obviously pre 1837 information is scarce!
Thanks anyone who helps
Pete
