ARC TBC Angus MacCuish

Post by cornishnick »

Hello All,

Hoping for some help with the person above.

From the records on ScotlandsPeople there seen to be two possibilities

MACCUISH ANGUS
M
1920
111/2 1
Harris South

Birth certificate has date of birth at 23/12/19, with a registration date of 08/01/20

MACCUISH
ANGUS
M
1920
103/ 4
Kirkhill

Birth certificate has date of birth at 10/01/20, with a registration date of 16/09/62

I'm referencing date on the death certificate/headstone with a DOB of 10 or 20 Jan 1920. Which of these, if it is, is it more likely to be?

I don't understand why the registration date is so late for this one.

Can you approach it from a different direction? Do you have the death certificate or the headstone details? What else do you have?

I can see an Angus Maccuish who died in Cornwall 24 Oct 1985. His birthdate is said to be 10.1.1920. He seems to have married Genevieve L Bastian.

Does it help to rule him in or out? His marriage certificate should have his father's name and occupation on it, and that would help finding the right birth for him

Is this still a Brickwall, or have you solved it?
