Been having a re-think on this San. It's Admission Registers you would need rather than Log Books. If I were you I would give Sandwell Archives a ring first to see what they have on School records and also Kellys Directories. Dudley Archives have lots and lots of these Kellys Dirctories and just wondered if Sandwell does as well.

Edwin Blocksidge started the "Blocksidge's Dudley Almanack" in 1886

Could there be a similar one done for your area by another company.

Mmmm......the lady I spoke to had a good look for schools in the area, no luck with the Admission Registers they only have (1938-1953) so too late.

She said perhaps I could try Sunday Schools but...............hang on

Well I never!

Thanks Rocky, however I queried on FreeReg and they have updated as follows....

Note in Register: At High Street The father's name is Edward in the register, but a descendant tells us that his name was Edwin, and there is a marriage record for Edwin Rollason and Elsie Evans in Blackheath St Paul on 12 May 1913.

Got myself over there but no luck I'm afraid :(

The young man was really helpful in trying to find me local Sunday School Records but there were only Log Books. I looked through quite a few just in case but no joy. I also looked through Blackheath Infant School records but again they were only Log Books.

Sadly I think I'll have to admit defeat but thankyou everyone for your help

san on the 1939 registry near pages have you looked to see if anyone else did the same type of job, have you looked on the 1911 census for the same /street area doesn't matter who as they give more detail job description
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.
