So sorry to hear this sad news, although it's been a long time since I was involved in family research, I remember him with affection. I know we connected somewhere along our lines, I will have to refresh my memory on this.

With regards to the funeral for Jimmy, sadly my Mum passed away on the 26th October and it was 7th November before we could finalise a date for her funeral and to have a decent time of day, for family who will live some distance away, it won't be until 29th November. It isn't a quick process nowadays. :(

Condolences to the family and those who loved him.

Thank you Rob and Mallosa, it's been a tough few months but she had wonderful care in the Home where she'd been for nearly 4 years.

Mum passed away peacefully in her lovely room. I'd been with her 4 days earlier (I now live in SW Wales,) she'd drunk coffee with me and we talked and laughed. My son went the following day and he said, she's just asleep now and she remained that way until she passed. My sister had flown over from Portugal 2 weeks earlier and she and her daughter spent time with Mum, then my daughter drove over from Germany to be with her, my son was visiting her weekly. So we'd all been able to say our goodbyes. In our family she was the last of that generation, she would have been 96 next month.

I noticed there was a lovely photo on BCC of Jimmy in his "Church"
are we putting a dedication to him and adding him into his family on the tree?
