Television Programme

Post by BC Wench »

Did anybody watch the DNA Journey t.v. programme with Sue Johnston & Ricky Tomlinson? Towards the end they visited a small town in Scotland where Sue's family lived in the 1600s and guess who lives there now

Also, the police programme DI Ray? At the very end of that series, DI Ray and her mother drove down the road The Broadway, the part which joins the Burton Road in Dudley, close to the Bishop Milner School or should I say Bishop Milner Catholic College. I shouted wow, look where they are

Never watched Boardwalk Empire or Mr Mercedes, NL. In fact, me and Ken were saying the other night that we've never really watched any American series that I can think of right away.

We've been watching The Chelsea Detective, The Turkish Detective (really enjoyed that one) and, yet again, Waking The Dead. Now Shetland is back and started last night. From Detective Inspector Barb and Detective Segreant Ken.

While doing my cross stitch I've just finished listening to 5 series of "Conversations From A Long Marriage" with Roger Allam and Joanna Lumley on BBC Sounds and it's really really good, so funny at times with things they come out with reminds me of me and Ken

No NL didn't watch it because we didn't watch Series 1. Ken has downloaded the first Series so we'll take a look at that and if we like it we can catch up with Series 2.

Are you watching The Day Of The Jackal on TV which is an up-dated version of the original film? Edward Fox played the original "Jackal" in the film and both me and Ken prefer Edward Fox's version of the Jackal rather than Eddie Raymayne's version.

I must have been talking around my hat when I said "we never really watch any American series" what I meant was that we tend not to watch them nowadays

We did watch Homeland and The Cleaning Lady, but not all the way through as they were getting to be much of a muchness. The Blacklist was good, but again it went on and on. We find with the American series they just go on too long and tend to be the same.

Just finished watching The Hardacres on Channel 5 and enjoyed that.

Will have to start watching Wolf Hall series 1.

Obviously been watching the England Cricketers  We've got quite a few brilliant young cricket lads coming up at the moment.

Mmmmmm, my mind has gone a bit blank  I don't remember that programme Greenacres Barb, Rob. I will have to ask one of my older brothers who's 80yrs old, about the same age as you, to see if he knows it. I don't know who Greg Davis is, looks as though I'll have to do an internet search.

NL and Rob, I started watching Wolf Hall but had to give up after 30 minues. No, didn't like it.

Now you know how old i am Barb the same age as Ken so i think that remark is a bit juvenile! :( Regarding Wolf Hall its all a matter of personal opinions. Obviously NL ( whoever she is) and i have the same tastes. I'm watching Lucan at the minute and enjoying it. Has anyone seen "Midas Man" yet. Its on Prime TV but i can't get it.Well i can if i'm prepared to pay. Maybe one of my daughters or granddaughters have it? It's about Brian Epstein.
