I have been looking at George Hack (1825-) husband of Betsey Taylor and have found two baptism records, is this possible?
There is one where he is baptized in Abbott's Morton (which matches Census information) as George Robert on 4th January 1828 age 4 years old with father Richard and mother Charlotte. This is in the Worcestershire records and on the same page there is his sister Mary Ann who is being baptized age 5. There is also a Worcestershire baptism record for George, this time not including a middle name, again with parents Richard and Charlotte on February 9th 1824 but I can't find an earlier baptism for Mary Ann. Is it possible they had him baptized soon after he was born because he was frail and the first baptism takes place in Grafton Flyford not Abbotts Morton? I haven't checked the other children yet to see if the parents waited until they were 4 to 5 years old to be baptized.
Given the dates of the baptisms I think also George's date of birth should be 1823 or 1824 not 1825.
In the course of my research I have also found George on the Death Index, he died in the Jan-Mar quarter 1897 age 75(Bromsgrove registration volume 6c page 253). On the Index his date of birth is estimated as 1822..

Re: George Hack
Unless we can see the earlier Baptism records, I haven't been able to see more info, we don't know?
Unless anyone can see?
I have changed George's date of birth to 1824 to go by the baptism record.
The rest is guess work.
It was added as "About" so take <5>
4th January 1828. St Peter, Abbots Morton.
George Robert, parents, Richard and Charlotte Hack, Abbots Morton, Farmer.
Notes, Aged 4

Re: George Hack
The earlier baptism appeared when I was doing a search on Ancestry. I don't know what the odds are of having two Richard and Charlotte Hacks with a child called George born around the same date.

George Hack
Thanks. I noticed when I was checking there is a ? against the marriage for Betsey and George. Ancestry has the marriage banns, they were married at St. Philips, Birmingham, Warwickshire on 11th November 1844.

Re: George Hack
I think the reason for a, ? was because the marriage was waiting to be conformed.
I have removed the ? and added the church name.
