Colonel Richard St Leger
Can anyone please give me an idea where to look for military information on Colonel Richard St Leger b.1756 in Doneraile, Cork, Ireland d.1840 in Dublin? I've done a Google search and nothing is coming up for his military career. Thank you Robyn.

Hi
You could try searching on https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/ to see where his name comes up, and then follow it up on https://www.thegazette.co.uk/
I found this: https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/12082/page/3 which shows he was in 68th Foot Regiment. And promoted again https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/12294/page/4
And maybe moved to 2nd Horse Regiment? https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/iss ... 4/page/486
The National Archives might have some records, once you know where to look
