Noob question
Hopefully you can see this?
https://search.findmypast.co.uk/record? ... 0045%2F138
The John Barnes who died aged 75 in Poplar is in my family tree but I couldn't help noticing the Gwendoline Barnes who died aged just 1 on the same page. Given the Poplar entry it could be that she may be a relative, too, but there is only this death notice and no birth record to cross reference. Given this with the mother's maiden name I could see if she belongs in my tree or not, yes?

Re: Noob question
what year are you looking at, you could get a list of who buried in John Barnes grave if you know where it at ? you could search GRO to see if mother maiden name is registered

Re: Noob question
Could just be a coincidence...
My head is spinning with how many people called Barnes there are in my tree. There is a Walter Barnes who had 16 children and he was one of about 8 or 9! I do have a Henry Barnes but the middle intial doesn't match and he was only born in 1915, so a 1930 marriage would be unlikely methinks. Doesn't mean one of his uncles didn't have a son with the same name, though. They liked to recycle names back then.

Re: Noob question
How weird is this? My grandfather was living at 126 Garvary Road, Canning Town,Newham at the time of the 1939 register and had a sister called Winifred Barnes. There was another Winifred Barnes at number 146 and as far as I can tell they weren't related.
