A list from the Chainmakers association of its members who were serving/ enlisted in WW1.

My Gt Grandfather is on the list

"CHAINMAKERS ROLL OF HONOUR

We understand that some 120 men out of the Chainmakers and Strikers Association
are absent either at the war or on Training and this probably represents only about
one half of those from the whole of the trade;
So that this Characteristic? Industry of the Cradley Heath district has sent many of its
men to fight for King and Country . A list of the soldier members is being compliled by the
Secretary and so far the names received by Mr ?? are as follows;

These should be included: both were Chainmakers.

George WESTON b.1884, 4th.Batt. Worcs.Regt:
husband of Laura(nee Coley) living in Foxoak St.Cradley Heath.
Killed in Action 18th.Sept. 1916. Remembered with Honour
@ Viamertinghe Military Cemetery.
Also his brother John WESTON b.1893,husband of Florence(nee Rowberry).
survived the war but due to his traumatic experiences eventually died
in a mental hospital.
