Re: emigration to the West Indies

That all seems to connect - except the farm in the uk!!! I know that Henry S Roberts of England somehow ended up married to an ELIZABETH REDMAN from Barbados - living in Trinidad and had a son in 1882/3 - my Grandfather - Orlando. They also had a daughter - Gladys the one married to Henry S Tappin (...

emigration to the West Indies

I have been looking for the details on my paternal great grandfather. He was called HENRY ROBERTS and he was born in England sometime in 1855-66 approx. All we know is that by 1925 he was living in Trinidad West Indies, married to a woman originally from Barbados. He is written on a ships record of ...

ARC TBC...............coleys

just been viewing some archives and found a couple of posts I had missed- re the coleys including Stephen Coley (postman) and his wife Mary (Newton but born Parsons). The 1911 census shows them as having 1 daughter - the question was asked if they moved - not out of Cradley Heath, Old Hill or Blackh...

Re: Puds69 Coleys

Thanks!! Mary Coley (nee Parsons) was my Nan's eldest sister - my nan being the 10 year old Ethel Parsons in the 1911 census!! Mary was fondly known as Polly in the family, and she and Stephen went on to have another daughter and they always lived in the Cradley Heath / Old Hill area - in fact my mu...

ARC TBC...........Puds69 Coleys

Are these Coley's related to the family living in Windmill Hill 1881 ff - Joseph Coley (1842) wife Phoebe (Price) 1843 and 10 children born between 1865 and 1880?? Interestingly can't locate Stephen Coley (1879) and his wife Mary Ann Coley (Newton)(1875) in the 1911 census??? Know they were married,...

Re: PHAROAH WHITTALL

Still can't find a link of any sort between Pharoah Whittall and Edward Blakeway - even in 1911 hymn books and bibles were only passed between family members - Edward Blakeway definitely had the hymn book after Pharoah and it passed on via his son William (my Grandad). No one in the family recognise...

Re: Coley hello from Ajax Ontario Canada

Hi there!! Just trawling along seeing what's new and I caught the COLEY link. Somewhere there is a mention of Stephen COLEY 1879 - if he is the same COLEY that married Mary Ann NEWTON (nee Parsons) then you and I may be related!!!!! This is a branch of the family I'm still working on so haven't got ...
